Baker Boy Hats
Hello Dear Reader,
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? So much happened in February. There was Valentine’s Day and, of course, there was Black Panther! I have now seen Black Panther a total of three times in the theatre and I’m not done yet. I haven’t had my fill of Wakanda and yearn to be taken away to that magical world once more. When I do, I will be wearing something I recently bought and have somewhat become obsessed with. What’s that you ask? Baker Boy Hats!
I’ve never really been one for hats unless they were straw hats that I could wear in the summertime at the beach and or lounging next to the pool at my Mum’s house. Ever since moving to North America, I’ve found I’ve come to need and rely on hats and for a variety of reasons. In the winter, they are a necessity as I need them to keep my head warm from the cold and the snow. In the summertime, hats protect my face from the sun. I find that good skin is a combination of eating a healthy diet, drinking lots of water and warm water with lemon, a good face cleanser, a good face mask, a toner, a good sunscreen and a hat to provide shade and protect against the sun's rays. The only other reasons I wear hats would be for my love and interest in fashion and being able to be playful with what I wear.
I was doing some window shopping at Zara not too long ago, and I saw this Baker Boy Hat that I instantly had to have. The good thing, it was on sale! It’s become my new favourite accessory and it just goes with everything.
Being the person that I am, I’m now on the hunt to find and purchase another (or two) but perhaps in a different colour, pattern or material.
I think Baker Boy hats are so cool and I've seen so many fashionable people from Elsa Hosk to Chiara Ferragni accessorize with them. Below is an image of supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne wearing an awesome Dior Baker Boy at the Christian Dior Fashion Show during Paris Fashion Week in February 2018. Apparently, she wore it before it even hit the runway!
I’ve done some looking around and have a found few that I like. Some of them are more bright and really eye catching but I love that because you can dress up in muted tones and then put your yellow Baker Boy Hat on as cherry on top of your outfit. I’m happy to share them with you and I hope you enjoy my selection.
